Cheapest Powdered Energy Drinks UK – I Worked Out the Cost Per Serving So You Don’t Have To

If you've landed on this page, you're probably already sold on the idea of powdered energy drinks, but you just want to know which ones won't empty your wallet. Fair enough. I've been reviewing every powdered energy drink I can get my hands on over on my main energy drinks page here, and one of the most common questions I get is "which one is the cheapest?"

So I've done the maths so you don't have to. Every brand below has been reviewed properly by me (I've actually tried them all) and I've worked out the exact cost per serving for each one based on buying a full tub.

A couple of things worth knowing before we dive in:

Cheap doesn't always mean good value. If something tastes like watered-down dishwater, that's not a bargain, that's a waste of money. I've flagged where the cheap ones aren't worth it (but the cheapest one on this list is actually the best!).

US brands need a reality check on price. A couple of brands on this list ship from the USA, which looks great on paper until you factor in the shipping costs. I've flagged those too.

Right then. Cheapest to most expensive, let's go.

STRAFE ENERGY — £0.59 PER SERVING (£0.35 ON BUY 2 GET 1 FREE)

⚡ Best Value Pick — Strafe Energy

🏆 Rated 9.5/10 overall · £0.59 per serving · £0.35 on buy 2 get 1 free

The highest rated brand on my main review page, at one of the lowest prices. £26.00 for a tub of 50 servings (£23.40 with code GEEKYGOREVAN) + £6.00 shipping.

I want to be upfront here. Strafe is my current #1 rated brand overall (9.5/10), and it also happens to be one of the cheapest. That's a pretty rare combination in any market. Most of the time you pay a premium for quality, but Strafe haven't played that game.

At £0.59 per serving it's already great value, but the buy 2 get 1 free deal drops it to £0.35 per serving, which makes it not just the best value on this list, but genuinely one of the cheapest ways to get a quality energy drink full stop, powdered or otherwise. The tub is £26.00 for 50 servings (£23.40 with code GEEKYGOREVAN) plus £6.00 shipping.

If you want the full breakdown of their flavours, the Strafe section of my main energy drinks page has everything.

FUSE ENERGY — £0.65 PER SERVING (£0.33 ON 3 FOR 2 DEAL)

Technically the second cheapest on the list, and on their regular 3 for 2 deal, they almost match Strafe's deal price at £0.33 per serving. A full tube of 20 tablets is £9.99 plus £2.90 postage, coming in at £12.89 total, or £0.65 per drink.

I'm going to be completely honest with you though... I rated Fuse 1/10 on taste. They're effervescent tablets rather than a straight powder, and they have that distinct medicinal fizzy drink taste that I just couldn't get past. I poured most of them away.

That said, people are still buying them through my site after reading that review, so clearly there's an audience for it. Maybe you'll be one of them. Just don't say I didn't warn you!

X-ZERO — £0.70 PER SERVING

X-Zero sit at 70p per serving for a tub of 50 real servings, which is decent value. I rated them 7/10 overall and some of the flavours are genuinely good. However (and I can't stress this enough) they have a habit of advertising half a serving as a full serving to make their price look better than it is. The 70p figure above is the real cost per real serving, not the inflated marketing figure they use. They also use marketing tactics that I think are very poor - Just something to be aware of with this brand.

You can check them out here, but I don’t have a discount code for you though, as I don’t want to be affiliated with them due to their poor practices and lack of transparency. I hope you opt for another option.

GAMERSUPPS GG — £0.80 PER SERVING

Gamersupps come in at 80p per serving. The taste is genuinely good (7/10) and the value is reasonable once you factor everything in. The branding is heavily anime-focused, which is very much not for everyone, but if that doesn't bother you they're worth a look.

You can also try a sample for just £1.12, you just pay the shipping. Not a bad way to test before committing to a full tub.

G FUEL — £0.82 PER SERVING

G Fuel is a brilliant brand (I rated them 8.5/10) and 82p per serving looks great on paper. The downside is the shipping. They ship from the USA, which adds roughly £8.75 to your order. It's not the worst in the world per serving, but the shipping still stings.Buying a tub is the way to go if you want to make the numbers work properly as a sample will set you back a whopping £4.26!

The flavour range is incredible though (50+ flavours, licensed gaming collabs), so I can see the appeal!

HOLY ENERGY — £0.90 PER SERVING

Holy Energy come in at 90p per serving and position themselves as the healthier option in the market (though it is just their taste that tastes 'healthy', if that makes sense (that not very nice, but tastes healthy... taste). Unfortunately, that "healthy" taste is exactly what let them down for me. There's a strange background flavour to most of their drinks that I just couldn't get past, and I rated them 5/10 overall. Their customer service was genuinely one of the best I've dealt with though, they offered me a full refund just because I didn't enjoy the flavours. Top marks on that front, even if the product wasn't for me.

You can check them out here.

WRAITH ENERGY — £0.98 PER SERVING

Wraith are my second highest rated brand overall (9/10) and at 98p per serving they're still solid value for what you get. The flavour range is massive (20+ options), the 2025 formula upgrade removed all the grittiness that some people had issues with before, and the taste is really nice, which makes the switch from traditional energy drinks much easier than some of the weaker brands on this list.

RAGEPHASE — £0.99 PER SERVING

RagePhase are a very new brand with only one flavour at time of writing, but that one flavour (Sour Cherry) scored 10/10 from me and gave me the closest thing to an instant energy buzz I've felt from any powdered drink. At 99p per serving including postage, it's reasonable value, just be aware you're limited to one flavour for now. Very much one to watch as they grow their range.

SNEAK ENERGY — £1.00 PER SERVING

Sneak are my third highest rated brand (9/10) and at £1 per serving they sit towards the expensive end of this list. The massive flavour range (with regular limited edition drops) and completely consistent quality make them worth every penny though. They just aren't cheap. Worth noting: their recommended serving is 300ml of water, but I'd recommend doubling that for the best taste, which also means more drink per serving.

Sneak have a 20% off link here (no affiliate commission for using the link, just a good deal).

ROGUE ENERGY — £1.18 PER SERVING

Rogue are the most expensive on this list and, unfortunately, one of the lowest rated (4/10). The main issue isn't the taste itself, it's the aftertaste, which was unpleasant across almost every flavour I tried. At £1.18 per serving you're paying near the top of the market for something that, in my honest opinion, doesn't come close to Strafe, Sneak or Wraith. There are exceptions though (the Strawberry Hibiscus Chill variant was genuinely lovely) but as a daily energy drink? There are far better options at lower prices on this very page.

If you want to try before you buy, they do a sample option at £2.57 using their free sample scheme.
