Strafe describes this flavour as ‘The default energy drink flavor (yes, it does taste like it) with a sour twist! We explored many variations until we landed on this one. The sourness adds a level of complexity that makes up for the lack of carbonation. ‘ The artwork was done by artist Strafe Alex.
The taste test
In my opinion, this flavour is one of the most underrated in the whole powdered energy industry right now. No other company has managed to create a classic energy drink flavour (like Red Bull) and that is really something that is missing! I have seen tonnes of people ask me if there is a Red Bull flavour that they can try because they want to kick their habbit, but until Strafe… there wasn’t!
Now is this 100% the same, no. BUT it is really damn close! To me it tasted like a bit of a weaker version of Red Bull, but I’m only really strict on the scoring of this flavour because I think it will end up being a gateway into the industry for a lot of people. I’ve contacted Strafe and they will continue to work on their flavours, so you never know what the future holds!
Does it taste like anything else on the market?
Nobody else in the powdered energy space has managed to replicate this flavour properly, so there isn’t really any alternatives just now, but it is basically the ‘default’ energy drink flavout we are talking about here (Red Bull, Emerge, etc)
