What is the Best Energy Drink Shaker? – 100% Unbiased Reviews

If you have been keeping up to date with the Quest for the ultimate powdered energy drink, you will know that I started documenting the flavours that I liked and didn’t like, for myself, but decided to post them online to help any like-minded people who were sick of all of the paid promotions and people who were cult-like loyal to one specific brand.

Now that I have tried so many different companies, I’ve had the pleasure of testing out their shakers to find out what I like or didn’t like about them. Once again, I’m not paid to say I like a specific brand and have stayed completely unbiased throughout the process (as I will continue to do!)

Cut to the chase, what is the best shaker to use for my powdered energy drink?!

Okay… Okay! I’ll cut to the chase… I currently use two shakers daily and one if I’m going out. (I will update this section if I change my routine!).

I use the premium Satanic Cult Shaker from Sneak and the glow-in-the-dark shaker from Glytch Energy daily, on rotation.

If I am going out and about, I will use my Wraith Terrifier 3 shaker because it is really robust if it drops!

Overall Brand Reviews

The aim of this section is to give you an overall view of each company, in one place. I’ve added sections that I think are important, then if you click on the brand, it will take you further down to give you more information on my perception of the shaker.

It’s important to note that I haven’t included a rating for the shaker technology (that breaks up the powder). In today’s world, this is simply for show and is no longer required as any brand that is worthy of your cash, will not clump and will instantly dissolve!

Sneak

Sneak is one of the big players in the UK, boasting its own shaker technology. Let’s see if their shakers live up to our expectations!

Overall: 9/10	If you want a shaker that looks awesome and stands out, but is also really practical to prevent spills, this is the shaker for you.
Look/Feel: 10/10	With a massively wide range of shakers, there is always something that will catch your eye. They feel great and are really easy to use.
Spill Resistance when dropped: 9/10	Although the stopper looks like it would be flimsy and pop open as soon as there is a little bit of pressure, I have done the drop test and 99% of the time, there was no spillage!
Spill Resistance in general: 10/10	If you want a shaker that looks awesome and stands out but is also really practical to prevent spills, this is the shaker for you.

Wraith Energy

Wraith was the first company that I tried when I started this project. I love the dark fantasy vibe, but what are their shakers like? I have based this review on their new sports bottles as I do not rate their shakers unfortunately (they are a struggle to open)

Overall: 9/10	The design of their sports bottle is fantastic. They have taken the feedback about their shakers and created an epic bottle that you squirt into your mouth!
Look/Feel: 10/10	This feels great in your hand and is easy to use. The colours feel a little off-brand, but this is a new style for them. I hope in the future they make more designs with this style of bottle!
Spill Resistance when dropped: 9/10	I went over the top to try and slap this about. There was a couple of drops on the outside, but not sure if that is just from the filling up or not.
Spill Resistance in general: 10/10	The lid is just a little bit of silicone by the looks of it, but it does the job completely. No spills when shaking or general use.

Glytch Energy

One of the underdogs in the powdered energy world in terms of taste, now how do their shakers match up with the big players?

Overall: 7/10	Overall this is a great ‘sitting at your desk’ shaker for me. It is easy to open and close, big enough hole to get a big gulp while gaming/working and looks a bit different.
Look/Feel: 8/10	I have done the un-pressed shake test and there was no spill whatsoever! Top marks!
Spill Resistance when dropped: 1/10	Overall this is a great ‘sitting at your desk’ shaker for me. It is easy to open and close, big enough hole to get a big gulp while gaming/working and looks a bit different.
Spill Resistance in general: 10/10	Unfortunately, this failed the drop test every time. It’s not bad if you are sitting at your desk (keep it away from your keyboard), but I wouldn’t take it out and about.

MyProtein

Now, this isn’t really a shaker that is intended for a powdered energy drink, but I use this shaker with protein shakes (Trying not to be fat, not gains!). Let’s see how it matches up with the other shakers.

Overall: 2/10	This is a bit of a let down as a shaker in general, it’s not stylish, prone to spills and not very well made.
Look/Feel: 2/10	This is a bit of a letdown as a shaker in general, it’s not stylish, prone to spills and not very well made.
Spill Resistance when dropped: 1/10	even a tip over with this shaker will cause it to explode everywhere.
Spill Resistance in general: 1/10	I done the un-pressed shake test and can confirm that there was water absolutely everywhere… The things I do for you folks!

JNX Sports

I actually seen this shaker while I was shopping for clothes. I’m a wee goth at heart and I just thought this skull shaker was the coolest. I had to have it!

Overall: 0/10	This is probably the coolest looking shaker I have ever had the pleasure of using. It comes in a variety of colours. I was torn between the black or the purple, but settled on the purple! Downside? after 4 uses it just leaked all over the place and was gubbed.The one and only 0 review I’ve ever done on the site 🙁 PS this was hand washed too, so no dishwasher was involved that could explain the issue.
Look/Feel: 7/10	The look is awesome, it’s a talking point, a statement piece. Only reason for the lower score is that it is a bit bulky because of the design, so doesn’t fit in your hand as comfortably as others.
Spill Resistance when dropped: 0/10	Only lasted 5 drinks then it was peeing water out around the lid.
Spill Resistance in general: 0/10	Only lasted 5 drinks then it was peeing water out around the lid.

Bucked Up

I got this shaker as part of a sample bundle that I got. It’s got quite a unique design as you can see in the video above!

Overall: 8/10	This one is a decent shaker. It’s watertight and feels like a normal shaker. The only downsides were that the lid is a bit stiff and the design with the tube is a bit noisy!
Look/Feel: 8/10	It’s a pretty unique internal design on this shaker. At first I thought it was a straw, but it was just a tube to hold the metal piece to help break up powder
Spill Resistance when dropped: 10/10	Dropped it a few times while full and also tried smacking it against the sink with force. Not a drop escaped
Spill Resistance in general: 10/10	Completely watertight!
