The Throttlebots were introduced in the Transformers toy line in 1986 and were designed to transform into small, futuristic vehicles. Each Throttlebot had its own unique vehicle mode and robot mode.
Freeway, specifically, was one of the Throttlebots. In his vehicle mode, he transformed into a blue futuristic car.
